I've seen some truly dreadful games against them over the years. Always 1-0, always at home and always seemingly arctic. haha,...One of the coldest stadiums in the world?!

haha, how can this be worked out? Surely it was just a cold day...?

Keith Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32800805.post-45105378062582250922016-11-07T12:48:54.042+00:002016-11-07T12:48:54.042+00:00Yes the usual excellent read. Stoke at home has now produced 3 of the most miserable games of football I have ever watched, and over 40 years of watching us that is quite some achievement.

Can I mention we now appear to have one of the coldest stadiums in the World to add to its other virtues, a cheeky bid for the roof mounted heaters at the Donetsk Stadium could be an idea, it's not as if they'll need them for a while. I fear I have created a Rugby fan instead as it was enough to put anyone off, never mind a 9 year old who thinks real football is like an x-box game. At least he didn’t witness grown men throwing coins at children so it could have been worse I suppose.
You sum it up well. I noted Bilic said we looked sharp in training and seemed to imply he couldn't understand why that wasn't reflected on the pitch. It sounded like we have become the club version of the national team as we ponderously knock the ball around without aim and no-one knows why.
I was told by two people outside the ground we should drop Adrian. Did I miss something but hasn't he been so solid almost since he started? A knee jerk reaction to the extreme.
The subs gave us more life (Elevating us to Zombie level) and I feel more and more that it is the lack of a cutting edge upfront that is infecting the whole team. Ayew has potential with some support and please someone find Sakho. Every time I look he is one more week away from playing...but that week never seems to arrive. A serious threat upfront may work wonders
The slow pitch explanation is great. The most creative moment of the day I thought. I assume we have employed the BR team that brought us the 'Leaves on the line' explanation. I wonder what pitch we used against Chelsea as that seemed fast enough?!!!!
Tough games to come. Logic would suggest 4 games without a win but football doesn't always work like that- we can just pray!
PS I am really worried by Payet’s comments today about leaving. What does that say about the team’s mentality to get us out of this?

Keith (Ironman on twitter)
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
